What You Can Find In Pekanbaru

Have you ever heard about Pekanbaru? Pekanbaru is the capital city of Riau, located in the middle of Sumatra Island. You can not say it’s a small town, because the situation likes in the big city. There are many buildings, department stores, supermarket, even malls. But those places are not the main attraction in Pekanbaru. In Pekanbaru, people like to see Danau Buatan. It called Danau Buatan because it’s not a real lake, people made that. Then, there is Pasar Bawah, a market who serves many things from the other countries. For example, house tools, clothes, kid’s toys which made in Malaysia.

Pekanbaru has its own typical food too. There are Lempuk Durian, Bolu Koja, and Gulai Ikan Patin. Lempuk Durian was made from durian, the big fruit with thorns outside it. Bolu Koja was made from eggs, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and the main ingredient is pasta pandan. Gulai Ikan Patin was made from patin fish, which you can only find in Pekanbaru.

All of those places and food I have mentioned above are things that you can find in Pekanbaru. Actually, there are more places and stuff you can find in that city. So, if you want to find out more, you have to visit Pekanbaru. Don’t forget to visit Danau Buatan, Pasar Bawah, and don’t forget to try the foods too!
