How to Make Glass

Glass plays many roles in the ever changing human civilization. But the process of making glass is actually the same like the process was in the early 19th century. Firstly, the ingredients of glass like sand, soda and limestone are put in a furnace. Then from now on the process, based on the shape of the glass, is divided into two types: plate glass and bottle glass. In the plate glass process, the ingredients from the furnace are moved by a conveyor belt through rollers which finally will shape those ingredients into plate glass. In the bottle glass process, after the furnace, the ingredients then put into a removable mould which let the air comes in, and then it will shape the glass like bottles we see on the shops. Finally those glass are ready to be sold. Those are the steps to make glass that we use in everyday life.
