My Lovely Jakarta



Jakarta is located on the northwestern coast of Java island at the end of the Ciliwung River. The northern part of Jakarta is eight meters above the sea level. This contributes to the frequent flooding. The city borders the province of west java on its east side and the province of West on its west side.
Jakarta is the economic center of Indonesia. almost general activity of economic happen in Jakarta. One of The best development of economic in ASEAN make Jakarta becomes the trade center city. Jakarta attracts many foreign as well as domestic immigrants, so many people come to Jakarta for seeking a better life. The concentration of money and political influence in the city. It means, Jakarta will always busy all the time.

Jakarta also has some exciting places for tourist destination. For example museum, there are many museums in Jakarta, Such as Satria Mandala Museum, Perintis Kemerdekaan Building and the Soekarno-Hatta Monument which tell us about the history of Indonesia and all the things about Indonesia. National History Museum which tells the history of the independence. In Indonesia in Miniature Park, we can see Indonesia in the small part. Beside that, in the jakarta bay, there are also exiting places such as, Ancol Bay, Dufan, and The thousand islands which is a part of the administrative region of Jakarta, this places are very beautiful, and the best place for spending our time to enjoy the sceneries. Jakarta also has many malls which sell some our necessities,there are more than 20 malls such as, Taman Anggrek, Ciputra, Puri indah etc,. We can spend all of our money there. The amazing skyscrapers and the only one in Jakarta even inthe world is National Monument (Monas),Monas with 132m high is icon of Jakarta, in this place we can see the whole of Jakarta.
The culture of Jakarta known as Betawi culture, Betawi culture is very unique, because it is influenced by another culture such as chinnesse, India, Arabian, and others culture. For example Gambang Kromong (mixture between Betawi and Chinese music) or Tanjidor (mixture between Betawi and Portuguese music) or Marawis (mixture between Betawi and Yaman music).But Betawi culture has its traditional arts,for example, on the Betawi music, dance and theatre, Wayang Kulit Betawi, Topeng Blantek dancing and Lenong. The Betawi group has its specific dress for man and woman. For man’s costume are ,a thight, Slip, Traditional Betawi headge. For woman costume are Kebaya with buttened cuffs, a sarong with the lasem motif.
