THE GLASS-MAKING PROCESS

Glass can be formed in many shapes and used in many purpose in our life. The process of making common glass which is plate glass and bottle glass is not as difficult as we thought. First the ingredients to make glass which is sand, soda, and limestone are put together in the furnace. Then in the furnace, the ingredients are heated to be mixed together and become a glass’s dough. After that, the glass dough is divided into 2 machines through pipes. First if we want to make plate glass, those ingredients are bought into a roller machine. The glass's dough is shaped to be a plate glass by given some pressure in the roller machine. Second, the dough is bought to a removable mould. The dough is moved through a pipe and shaped in to a compact bottle form by the mould. But, at the end of the pipes there’s an air to form the empty space in the middle of the bottle glass. Finally the plate and bottle glass are ready to be used in many purposes.
