Television for children

Television, internet, and radio has been great influences on our life. Although news gleaned from television, radio, or the Internet can be educational, problems can arise the usage of those media are over limited. Too much television can mean less face time with family members and friends. Beside that, what we get in watching television can’t always give us warrant that those information are important for our life. Sometimes it can changes people behaviour instead.

Nowadays, television has become a standard part of our environment in such a way that we hardly even think about it. TV is literally just a piece of furniture to us, and we forget it's there even when it's turned on. Yet, the background noise still distracts us and diminishes the quality of our communication. In family life, especially for parents who have children at home, research has shown that children who consistently spend more than 4 hours per day watching TV are more likely to be overweight. They are doing activity rarely. Kids who view violent events, such as a kidnapping or murder, are also more likely to believe that the world is scary and that something bad will happen to them. Maybe it's better for parents to control the use of TV and to teach children that it's for occasional entertainment, not for constant escapism that can make a big effect of their sense of community when they are growing up.

In America, fifty-one students who were either very heavy soap opera viewers (more than 4 hours per week) or very light soap opera viewers (less than 1 hr. per week) provided different attitude judgments distrust of people. Students who often watch soap opera will have a great tendency in case of distrust people. That’s a big consequences affected by television. Whereas we know that sociality life is the most important thing in through this life, and one way to have a good relation with somebody else is trusting them, just the way they are.

TV, interactive video games, and the Internet can be excellent sources of education and entertainment, but too much plugged-in time can have unhealthy side effects. More or less, children behaviour affected by television. Maybe parents should try to forms their children not to over addicted in watching television in order to form their attitude when they are growing up.
