Pharmacy

Pharmacy, according to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, is “the art or practice of preparing, preserving compounding and dispensing drugs”. However, this definition doesn’t include the broad activity that is done in modern pharmacy profession. Some of them are to help the community to use drugs properly and to guarantee the safe and effective usage of drugs. Pharmacy is not just deals with drugs, but pharmacy is also deals with people who are using drugs. This is why the definition of pharmacy is so complex. Modern pharmacy has two sides of interaction. First is the interaction to drugs and the second is the interaction to the patients. It’s the combination of those two that is better to define pharmacy.
